WordPress: Configure WP Statistics to save as much data as possible
WP Statistics stores its analytics data locally in WordPress and, according to the project documentation, does not use cookies by default or automatically send analytics data to external servers. Nevertheless, the specific data protection configuration should be checked.
Check privacy options
Under Statistics → Settings → Privacy & Data Protection Enable IP anonymization and avoid features that collect user IDs or other personal characteristics. The built-in privacy audit function helps to identify problematic settings.
Leave anonymous data sharing disabled
WP Statistics offers voluntary transmission of anonymous usage data to the project. According to the documentation, this is turned off by default. To ensure the most local configuration possible, it should remain deactivated.
Server logs remain separate
The plugin settings do not change Apache/nginx logs, hoster or proxy logs. Check these levels separately.
Basics for classification
Don't just pay attention to cookies when evaluating: Cookieless is not automatically tracking-free. If “unique visitors” are recorded, also note Unique visitors without recognition .

Important: IP processing is not IP storage
An IP address has to be processed to establish and deliver a network connection. Hosting providers, firewalls or DDoS protection may also process or retain it for a limited time for security purposes. No Logging distinguishes this security layer from unnecessary persistent visitor logging by the website, application and ordinary access logs.
