WordPress: MailPoet without opening and click tracking
MailPoet can measure newsletter opens and clicks. If you do not need this recipient analysis, you should reduce or deactivate engagement tracking in the advanced settings.
Engagement Analytics
Under MailPoet → Settings → Advanced check the setting for engagement analytics or open and click tracking. MailPoet documents that this measurement can be deactivated.
Control further options
In the same area, diagnostic logging and the voluntary transfer of anonymous usage data can be activated or deactivated. For a data-saving installation, only switch on what is actually needed.
Data already collected
A later change does not automatically prevent opening or click data that has already been collected from disappearing. Therefore, check existing statistics and storage separately.

WordPress and MailPoet administration access as well as a test list for controlled shipping tests.
Dismantling
If engagement evaluation is needed again, only activate the specifically required tracking function and re-evaluate existing and newly created recipient data.

Important: IP processing is not IP storage
An IP address has to be processed to establish and deliver a network connection. Hosting providers, firewalls or DDoS protection may also process or retain it for a limited time for security purposes. No Logging distinguishes this security layer from unnecessary persistent visitor logging by the website, application and ordinary access logs.
